I really appreciated not being pressurised to leave the room at check out time. Good value for money.
has a nice gym and pool, except when the locals turnup.in a nice quiet location,by the river,,,
had a party of dutch people partying two nights long, outside my room..and not even a sorry from the hotel ,when told......
A good standard of hotel. All facilities - bar/restaurant etc as they should be. Room and bathroom perfect.
The only negative for the stay is the taxi to the town. If you're going from the hotel it's £8 to town - expensive. If you call the taxi to go back to the hotel say you're local to pay £3.
We were booked in as Mrgavinthompson so they said that they had no reservation for us. It took ten minutes to decide that they had! Food good but VERY expensive.
The rooms are a good standard and quite spacious, the hotel staff friendly and the food standard is good.
The hotel is over-priced, the location isn't great and they need a shop on site that sells essentials eg water, nurofen, newspapers etc
Remote not working and length of time to remedy.
It was so comfortable, and even supplied a fantastic aid to relaxing sleep with the Breath In pack - which I wish you could buy as it really worked and I do suffer with an inability to sleep
Conveniently situated for Home Counties, very comfortable and dining was a pleasure.
The staff were exceediingly corteous and friendly without being excessive. The restaurant ood was excellant.
Location of hotel and all the faciities on site. The view from the lounge/bar are great and it`s a sun trap!
I was only allowed to book 3 rooms at a rime (down to your company) so had to book additional room seperately, this was difficult to ensure we all stayed together despite 4 phone calls to the hotel.
1) Fast and friendly service from staff 2) Large room 3)very well updated bathroom. 4) Quiet location. 5)Parking close by. 6) Large desk for working
1) We were in darkness for most of the two day stay, because the very large windows were facing SW and the sun was not only blinding but the room turned into an oven. Because the glass was not solar reflective and because the air conditioning did not work. It really spoilt our stay. 2) Charging for Wi-Fi and a very hefty charge as well. 3) Very old and outdated huge TV. Most channels were like they were in the 70's, very fuzzy! 4) No socket by bed. As everyone has smart phones now, that they need by the bed, it was very annoying not to be able to charge the phone at night. 5) Luckily our 2 nights with Booked.net were £141, but the normal charge would have been much too high at £244.
The actual area and scenery in Marlow and nearby countryside..
Hotel ill placed in the middle of an industrial estate. Post code given erroneous and took much longer to get there as a result. Staff @ reception quite blaze and not very attentive. Very busy in a disorganised way, noisy and not the best palce for a quiet weekend. Swimming pool and spa area quite dirty. Will not be using it again.
Very nice bedroom and bathroom - large bed, tv etc etc. Took us a while to find the kettle etc so it might be helpful to put a sign to say look in the end wardrobe! Excellent breakfast and glad you offered the vouchers as £17.00 is too expensive to pay for breakfast. Reception staff very efficient.
The slow service in the bar. We ordered a coffee and cookies. The coffee came within 5-10 minutes but the cookies didn't come for a further 20 minutes by which time I'd gone back to my room to get changed for a wedding we were attending. My cousin ordered a gin & tonic which she was still waiting for after 15 minutes so cancelled it as we had to leave. There was plenty of staff in the bar so not sure what went wrong.
The staff in the restaurant were brilliant
Food was too expensive and the check in time had been moved from 2pm to 3pm without prior notice
Room very well equipped, but our time at the hotel was short as we were attending a wedding in the area, so only took 1 breakfast and a couple of bar drinks. Reception area very informative and helpful.
We did not like the bar area. It was too dark, and in our opinion not welcoming. Two coffees purchased were not hot, and service was slow.
